It employs Meridian’s Precision Sonic Transport design concept to ensure the entire journey taken by audio signals through the product maintains maximum sonic fidelity, achieving a level of performance never previously reached in a loudspeaker of this size. With in-room frequency response within 3dB from 20Hz to 40kHz and peak output of 119dB at 1 metre from a single loudspeaker, the DSP9 delivers outstanding fidelity, dynamics and power for high-performance music and cinema systems.

  • Comprehensive digital connectivity — provides input options including Meridian SpeakerLink (RJ45), coaxial digital (RCA phono) up to 192kHz at 24-bit, optical digital (Toslink) up to 96kHz at 24-bit and USB-C digital audio up to 384kHz at 24-bit, plus a trigger input on the analogue input module.
  • Mixed amplifier topology — uses separate amplifier types optimised for each frequency range, including a Class AB amplifier for the tweeter and multiple bridged pairs of Class D amplifiers for the bass section, each capable of high power with low distortion.
  • Protective DSP technologies — Meridian Pro-active Bass protects the bass drivers from over-excursion to ensure maximum bass output without damage, while Meridian Pro-active Thermal monitors the signal sent to the mid-range drivers and tweeter and limits overall volume if there is a risk of the drive units overheating.
