Elementi audio products were recently featured in a Sound+Image article as part of a world-class entertainment extension project by Wavetrain Cinemas. “This home cinema is the first we’ve seen in Sound+Image to feature a new range of speakers called Elementi. Designed specifically for home cinema use (though the largest of them could potentially service commercial applications), the Elementi brand includes ‘Fire’ and ‘Air’ speaker ranges, plus an ‘Earth’ range of subwoofers, and an upcoming ‘Water’ range of Atmos speakers. The ‘Fire’ range (pictured opposite) uses compression drivers for high frequency delivery, while the ‘Air’ models share the cabinet and mid-bass drivers from the Fire range but switch to a pleated diaphragm ‘tweeter’ along the lines of Oskar Hail’s air motion transformer.”

Elementi has been meticulously created by Australia’s leading Home Cinema Design Engineer and Acoustician, David Moseley, of Australia’s most awarded cinema design company – Wavetrain Cinemas. Selected press and media were invited to multiple demonstration events last Wednesday at Wavetrain Cinemas and whilst COVID marred a full take up of invitees being able to attend the event, all those who experienced the new range were blown away with what they heard. Earth-Basalt

Basalt is a custom installation subwoofer designed to reinforce smaller Elementi speakers from the ‘Fire’ and “Air’ ranges or as ‘LFE’ in smaller rooms. With its slim design, it is ideal to be mounted behind screens or around the perimeter of the cinema to reinforce and even out the bass response throughout the cinema.

Obsidian

Obsidian a large inroom subwoofer designed to be the primary LFE subwoofer in larger Home Cinemas or where extended low frequency presence is desired. This subwoofer uses an 18” Neodymium ultra-low distortion driver with 4” voice coil for low power compression and will handle 3000W of amplification.

Onyx

Onyx is both a custom installation and inroom subwoofer designed to be the primary LFE subwoofer or to balance room modes when used with the larger Obsidian subwoofer. With two available configurations, it can be mounted behind screens or around the perimeter of the cinema to reinforce and even out the bass response throughout the cinema or placed under the screen.

Fire – Firebird

Firebird is a 2-way active speaker designed to be a front LCR or surround speaker in a room approx. 10m in length where the seats are between 2-9m from the speaker face. Firebird uses Neodymium bass drivers to ensure high power handling, low heat soak and reduced power compression. With a 90 degree horizontal dispersion it is recommended that the speaker be 1.5-2m from the head position for surround channels.

Fire – Dragon

Fire-Dragon is a 3-way active speaker designed to be a front LCR speaker for commercial cinemas or larger private home cinemas. Fire-Dragon uses commercial grade Neodymium bass and compression drivers to ensure high power handling, low heat soak and reduced power compression under any conditions. The cabinet design and a high flow port design provides increased bottom end power.

Fire – Phoenix

Phoenix is a 2-way active speaker designed to be a front LCR speaker in a room approx. 10m in length where the seats are between 2-9m from the speaker face. Phoenix uses commercial grade Neodymium bass and compression drivers to ensure high power handling, low heat soak and reduced power compression under any conditions.

Fire – Firefly

Firefly is a 2-way active speaker designed to be a front LCR or surround speaker in a room approx. 7m in length where the seats are between 1-6m from the speaker face. Firefly uses a unique ultra-wide horizontal dispersion tweeter, which means uniform coverage across a wide range of seats from a very small distance of even 1m.

Amplifiers

Elementi Amplifiers

All Elementi speakers and subwoofers are powered by fully digital amplifiers and benefit from floating 32 point DSP processing, digital crossovers, FIR filters with correction in the frequency and time domains, look forward speaker protection, high flow PASCAL amplifiers and high quality D/A converters. PASCAL amplifiers have proven to be incredibly reliable and offer a higher sonic performance.
